Welcome

Welcome to my personal photo blog and thank you for dropping by.

The main purpose of these pages is to publish and share with you those thoughts, ideas and interests that inspire me, but also to display my photographic work in progress. If you are interested, you can of course also follow me on my daily picture stream.

In case you wondering who I am, here are a few bits and bobs about me…

I am a British photographer, born 1974 in Hamburg Germany. I was introduced to photography by my grandfather aged seven, when I was given my very first camera; a Kodak Instamatic Pocket 200. Curious by nature, I have taken pictures ever since.

Having studied photography, printing and the history of art at art school and holding a degree from the Humanities Department at King’s College London, I love the diversity traditional non-digital photography offers the artist. Over the past five years I have also partially moved to the world of digital photography. Being a purist, I only use available natural light and digital techniques, such as print toning, that can also be applied within traditional photography and printing. I, furthermore, never crop images.

My first commercial success came in 2003, when several pictures documenting England’s recession torn North were bought by a range of private European collectors. Since then, I have continuously expanded my portfolio to include a variety of contemporary commissions featuring landscapes, inanimate objects, abstracts, portraits and street photography.

All featured pictures can be bought and licensed. They are signed as individually numbered limited edition sets and can be printed on either high-quality baryta-based silver gelatin papers, Harman papers, canvas, plexiglas, light boxes, forex or dibond.

For further information regarding special projects, exhibitions, publications, commissions, assignments and limited signed edition sales of my work, please contact me directly via email.

Bear of Very Little Brain, except that long words interest her greatly.
